A short biography
Born in 1958 Mark attended St George’s High School in Bradford, on leaving school at 16 he then began an apprenticeship at Appleyard of Bradford qualifying as a panel beater 4 years later. His interest in photography began shortly after this when he was given a camera for his 21st birthday, this interest was however not exactly spontaneous. As mark puts it himself “the camera went in to a cupboard” where he found it sometime later, it was then that his interest was first aroused. He put a film in the camera and photographed whatever he could find. When he had the film developed to his surprise all the images were correctly exposed and in focus. As Mark himself says “that was me hocked that was when I became a photographer”
